DOT is committed to increasing contracting opportunities for M/WBE firms and to providing support to help them become successful agency contractors. DOT’s designated M/WBE Officer will continue to oversee these efforts.

DOT will participate in six outreach events to foster networking between Prime Contractors and the M/WBE community.

DOT attended six outreach events in 2017 to foster networking between Prime Contractors and the M/WBE community, and will continue to attend these events in the future.

DOT will host six Networking Opportunities for the M/WBE community.

DOT hosted nine Networking Opportunities for the M/WBE community in 2017.

DOT will require divisions to submit memos outlining their M/WBE outreach for all small purchases.

DOT's Chief Contracting Officer now requires that M/WBE outreach be documented for all micro purchases by the agency.
